On a Sunday night — August 8, 2021, at 9:30 PM — the founder stopped waiting. No more hesitation. No more listening to doubt. No more putting off what he had believed in since he was sixteen years old. In that moment, in Tampa, Florida, 81Trae was born.
Not from money. Not from connections. From belief.
The name comes from 813 — the area code of the city that raised him, shaped him, tested him, and gave him something real to stand on. Most people leave home to find success. He stayed and decided to build it here.
